DJ Aliquot Doles Out Exactly What We Needed

So, it was one of *those* days for your den Mother. I had been having a rough day, and I was in a foul mood.

I was in such a bad mood, that I didn’t even feel like going to DDPP-despite the fact that we had taken a week off. Horrible, I know.

But as usual, DDPP lifted my spirits and took my mood from the dumps to the top of Mt. Everest. And how did that happen, you may ask? Why, I’ll tell you…

First off, we had a spectacular showing Thursday night. What was funny was, while sitting around waiting for the ladies to file in, I recalled a dream I had recently where nine women had shown up. As the crowd gathered, I looked around and counted…one, two, three….NINE! Exactly! Talk about totally awesome! I suddenly thought to pursue a career working those psychic hotlines:

But not so fast…soon enough, Judie showed up to make it ten! And not only did we have two new ladies come out for the evening, but we got to see the return of vet dancer Kelsey, whom we hadn’t seen since the start of summer. Welcome back, lady!

Okay, so that was just everyone showing up. As for the mix itself, we were honored to have new DJ Leah, aka DJ Aliquot spin the tunes that night. It was an incredible mix of old and new that got us all dancing. Oh, and the new ladies whooped it up on the floor as if they had danced with DDPP for years. Yes, each song in Aliquot’s mix was carefully measured and combined to maximize dancing reception and stimulate neuro dance pathways:

And even though there were some technical difficulties near the end of the mix, it just so happens that your den mother has similar tastes to that of Aliquot, and was able to come through in the clinch with some non-skipping songs on her ipod. Audio system, you may try to stop us, but it will never work. Viva la dance!

So thank you, DJ Aliquot, for an amazing first mix (notice how I assume there will be more to follow–hint hint). And thanks to all the ladies that came out Thursday night.

This Thursday, we have the long-awaited return of DJ Breestyle! Until then, check out DJ Aliquot’s mix (and be sure to check proper dosage):
