What a treat to have DJ Cacophony–now to be known as DJ Lux–back in the DJ booth! Thursday night she reworked her magic with a mix chock full of oldies from decades past and great dance hits from DDPPs of yore. Of course, she stitched it all together with awesome new songs, some of which made us potential djs proclaim, “damn! I wish I had thought of that one first!”
And so, as fall steadily approaches, we’ve been rewarded with an awesomely dark dance floor. It was the perfect environment to hop around, sing along, and even squeeze in a couple of square dance moves. Not to mention the twist. And when Thursday’s mix ended with a blast from our (guilty pleasure) 90’s past, the mood was such that we didn’t mind getting a little “zig-a-zig-ahhh”.
